As someone with ASD as well I’ve learned that if I take my meds and I still cant do what I need to do that day, its ok to just give up and try again the next day. Some days are genuinely futile

As someone with autism I definitely have favorite and least favorite touches

Favorites:

• cat fur
• silk
• porcelain
• smooth metal

Least favorites:

• chalk
• unglazed pottery
• concrete
• paper (only in the morning)
• slightly damp skin
• those shirts that are really tight and stretchy

This doesnt exactly translate to your experience bc I am a student but last semester I took two upper level math courses and because of how much homework I was doing in those classes and how interesting I found the subject to be, I would end up seeing and thinking about that math until I fell asleep those nights. I dreamed about fucking math 😭. I would go to my girlfriends house an hour after finishing my homework and in the middle of hanging out I would have to stop and go finish a problem I was trying to solve before but couldn’t because I just had a new idea

Yes it can be fun again but it will never be fun in the way you remember. My experience with the internet and the ways in which it was fun to me are likely different from the way it was fun for you.

I think a seperation from algorithms and corporate ownership of internet spaces will be a huge step towards making the internet more fun. As usual capitalism ruins the experience lol.
