Arizona Iced Tea.
Later on Tuesday, Biden appeared to tone down his criticism of Netanyahu. Asked whether Netanyahu was “playing politics with the war”, Biden said: “I don’t think so. He’s trying to work out a serious problem he has.”
Every time he starts to give something halfway close to a good response to something insane happening in Gaza, he walks it back within days.
Yup. Sly Cooper still looks great as well.
Honestly, it’s so perfect I’d probably choke and get 2 skips out of it. Anytime I stop and select a good stone I overthink it and throw terribly, anytime I just grab one and toss it I get 4 or 5 skips (6 if no one’s around to see it).
Stick. There is a 100% I will lose that stone skipping it on the first body of water I see.
Yeah, that was decent of them. I was expecting some sort of dark pattern bullshit to make exporting to a third-party extra hard, but it was actually pretty simple.
Yeah, this was the only Google product that I really liked, and of course they’re killing it just to force people to use YouTube Music. AntennaPod is an open-source alternative that functions very similarly, I’ve been using it for a couple of months now and I’m very happy with it.
I think you’re giving him way too much credit. Ever since the PayPal days he had this idea for an, “everything app,” a digital-marketplace/wallet/messaging/social media/anything-else-you-could need-online-app called X. The concept and name are profoundly stupid, but he was so dedicated to his vision he got booted from PayPal because he wouldn’t give up on it. I think it’s much more like he legitimately believes he can make Twitter into this bloated super-app (and maybe make some changes for the right-wing trolls that support him along the way) rather than slowly killing the app he payed $44 billion to aquire.
No. Copyright laws originally allowed creators to profit of their work for 28 years, which is perfectly fair and reasonable. Corporate lobbying extended copyright to 70 years past the author’s death, which is obviously insane, since creators can’t profit off their work after they die. But just because corporations perverted the law in an attempt to retain IP indefinitely, it doesn’t mean that copyright law itself is bad, and wanting reasonable protection for an authors IP doesn’t make you a useful idiot.
These were the complaints I heard about mods before the API debacle. After all the mods quit or got their 3rd party tools nuked, it was all complaints about repost bots not being removed. I’ve never been a mod, but you couldn’t pay me enough to babysit thousands of angry dorks, much less get me to do it for free.
At my last job my direct manager had to explain to upper management multiple times that X role and Y role could not be combined because it would require someone to physically be in multiple places simultaneously. I think about that a lot when I hear about these corporate plans to automate the workforce.
In my experience, 100% of executives don’t actually know what their workforce does day-to-day, so it doesn’t really surprise me that they think they can lay people off because they started using ChatGPT to write their emails.
It’s more than messaging. Before he was just letting his staffers leak that he thought Netanyahu was a super mean bad-man while he did literally nothing. After Michigan he began aid drops on Gaza, he’s building his temporary shipping port, the Democrats are calling for Netanyahu to step down, and they’ve abstained from a UN ceasefire vote.
Don’t get me wrong, all of this is entirely insufficient. If Biden wanted to really make a difference, he would stop approving military aid to Israel and resume funding UNWRA. That should be the bare minimum of acceptable actions in the face of a genocide. That being said, what he’s doing now is more than just talk, it’s action. Entirely inadequate action.
Biden changed his entire Israel policy overnight because of people voting Uncommitted in the Michigan primaries.
What are you talking about? It was the go-to app for journalists for a decade. They could live report from events in a simple, chronological thread, or collect eye witness reports by quote tweeting personal accounts. I followed the Charlottesville and January 6th riots in real time by reading journalists threads. There was a lot of trival or even harmful bullshit on Twitter, but the way journalists used it was a huge positive.
Thanos has a level of composure, forethought, and planning that I don’t associate with Musk. I’d say he’s more like Loki in the first Avengers movie: emotional, destructive, and in way over his head.
The uncommitted movement got 100K votes Michigan, and within days the Biden administration started a complete 180 on Israel. It’s more than a few Twitter users and he clearly cares very deeply.
Oh no, did they? I haven’t had one in a while…
