It’s just that it’s incredibly wasteful/polluting.
Which actually makes it illegal in some countries, too
Hi, I’m Miss Brainfart.
I’m afraid of sharks, with the exception being blåhaj. What could that possibly mean, huh.
(That’s not a hint, I genuinely have no idea)
Lemmings can also find me @miss_brainfart:catgirl.cloud on Matrix, if they desire to do so for e2ee reasons

It can pull weight at 4k, but I’m not sure if that is justification to slam it for not having the memory for 4k.
There are many games that cut it awfully close with 12GB at 1440p, for some it’s actually not enough. And when Nvidia pushes Raytracing as hard as they do, not giving us the little extra memory we need for that is just a dick move.
Whatever this card costs, 12GB of vram is simply not appropriate.
Aw, I’m really enjoying Outer Worlds right now.
That being said, I fully agree with Subnautica being a fantastic game. Probably my favourite game ever.
I mean, landmarks don’t make much sense to use on a 2D, birds eye view map
Oh, no need to feel weird about it. Many devices have gotten cheaper than their alternatives because of the grotesque amount of data they collect.
So assuming that cheaper means more invasive seems perfectly plausible, I can’t fault you for that.
As if expensive phones are any better
They could just align the text bottom right, where there’s less gun poking into the area
I’m thinking vintage soviet lenses like from Helios and Jupiter, with a bit of Pentacon and Minolta Rokkor sprinkled in
Have someone else tell you what to do
If you don’t have a someone, maybe AI can help you.
Now, let me preface this by saying I have an extreme prejudice against AI, but I can’t deny its usefulness for breaking down tasks.
goblin.tools is a good one, and at least they state wanting to go open source in the future, and be independant from OpenAI. If data privacy is important to you, than that might be something to keep in the back of the head.
But damn, just typing in clean room and getting it broken down into all the little steps is undeniably helpful.
Oh my god, YES
Down to the lenses I’d use and everything
Ubisofts wet dream, yes
Yeah, this is why it’s important to try and break down large goals into smaller goals. (I’m not saying it’s easy though)
Look at building muscle for example. What you need to do is focus on the little improvements, one extra rep each week, one extra pound each week. Make that your goal every single workout, instead of beating yourself up over the fact that you don’t look like 5x Mr Olympia Chris Bumstead yet.
(Which you won’t anyway, but that’s another story)
We want short-term success, instant gratification, but excercising for improving our health is a long-term project, whichever way you do it.
So you need to train in a way that gives you these smaller achievements sprinkled throughout the weeks, months and years.
How though, that’s highly individual and depends on the person.
I don’t intend to blame them, I’m just making an observation.
The fact that they don’t know is a problem in itself too, and spreading awareness about cybersecurity and teaching general tech literacy and common sense is not done as much as it should be.
It’s exactly like you say. They don’t know, and how would they? No one is ever giving them the information they need.
Can Disney just ******* ***** ** ***** already
You’re right, most people either don’t care, or don’t even know enough to care in the first place.
And that’s a huge problem. Yes, companies have some responsibility here, but ultimately it’s the user who decides to use the service, and how to use it.
I’m inclined to say that many people who need this would have to learn how to build habits in the first place
Does that mean we can make moon photos that are even further from reality now?
Federation had a hiccup there, I’m only seeing your reply now
Supersampling is definitely something interesting, but up to what point? On a sensor this small, even something like 48 sampled to 12 already suffers to a degree where I would stop calling it useful.
Don’t get me wrong here, I can see the use first hand on my own phone. My second lens for night mode does 20MP to 5, and while the image is brighter than the main lens, it’s just as grainy, and a much lower output resolution too.
Now granted, my phone is a few years old now, and modern devices surely have better sensors, but no amount of trickery will make up for those physical limitations.
My bank actually reccommends Firefox alongside Chrome and Safari.
Which is pretty much the only thing I can respect about them, sadly.
Asking as someone who doesn’t know anything about any of this:
Does more B mean better?
