My Christian parents would ground me for an entire summer for watching the Simpsons.
But if they wanna watch Oz in front of me where a prisoner rapes another prisoner and then hangs himself, then somehow that’s not as bad as the Simpsons?

Steams custom controller profiles alone used on Steam Deck are killers for me. Nothing else amounts.
Shel Silverstein was right!!!
A 30 year old would be a 2000s kid.
Why do people get this wrong. It’s not about the decade you were born in, it’s about the decade you spent most of your formative childhood in.
Roughly, kids born in the 70s were 80s kids. Born in the 80s were 90s kids. Born in the 90s were 00’s kids. Born in 00s were 10s kids.
Because you’re distracted by boobies? As the chart shows.
Flight booking websites literally added these plane models so you could filter out specific planes to avoid those flights because of these stories.
I mean. The federal government also frequently overlooks flaws and doesn’t fix things either. Especially the middle managers. All they care about is their next GS level or SES.
I also wonder how many parents take phones from their kids but also turn around and post their whole lives on facebook.
Meanwhile my kids and all their classmates seem friendlier and more mentally healthier than I remember school age being. It’s all anecdotal. I’m always surprised at certain ages how some of these kids don’t allow bullying, and aren’t concerned with stupid relationship shit that I remember 20-30 years ago. It’s interesting.
I also know shitloads of adults depressed from Doom scrolling all day.
Your gross generalizations aren’t reality.
So set fucking limits on the phone? Is ‘all or nothing’ somehow the only option? It’s not hard to set time limits, restrict apps, and generally be involved in your kids lives to help them understand and learn moderation and healthy recognition of bad habits forming. Simply taking shit away also doesn’t help cause there’s no opportunity to make mistakes and learn. Where’s the fucking middle ground?
Also…
Everyone is glued to their screens these days.
What a boomer comment.
You want something that will never happen.
“The economy is doing fine.”
“Most published journal articles are horseshit, so I guess we should be okay with this too.”
Well, I see the old one 99 times more often than the new one.
I’m talking about this piece of crap design.
I can’t escape this hell
So many times I’ve tried
But I’m still caged inside
Somebody get me through this nightmare
I can’t control myself
You still can pay to remove ads sometimes, and you also get to pick what you’re watching instead of waiting for whenever it’s on TV. You also can cancel any time. Things are getting worse, but they’re still immensely better than cable.
The same kind of morons rolling coal and destroying their engines.
The good news is programming everywhere is garbage.
