It’s not very good lol sorry to ruin the fun. Best description I’ve heard is “baby’s first RPG.” It’s fine, but it’s very simple/paint by numbers and the story/characters are very forgettable. Pretty good presentation for the time though.

“Wow in all my decades on this planet I’ve never heard that before and you saying it just now has completely solved the problem! It’s just a lack of perspective! Wow that was so easy! So I guess you forgot about your wedding anniversary last week because it wasn’t important?”
Seriously though - because people just expect me to forget things I get absolutely dog piled if I forget even the smallest thing, but when other people forget things they also remind me that I forget things all the time and give me the “it’s important so remember” nonsense. It drives me crazy.
All you have to do to infiltrate their minds and live rent free for a few months is open with “the libs want you to…” and just say whatever comes to mind. It’s rather easy.
Literally everyone of these is better than Robert E. Lee Elementary
1-2 people ordering out doesn’t make sense anymore sadly. It’s just too expensive. You need 4+ people typically dividing the cost to justify it now.
Breakfast stout is IMHO one of the first great stouts of the American craft beer revolution in the late 2000’s
I don’t see a problem
You should it’s great.
Appreciate the encouragement. It’s silly I haven’t gone
You can’t decouple from 15% of the world’s population/one of the most powerful economies in the world. That was always chest pounding and frankly it was unproductive.
The “fortress” mentality described in the article does not work in the long run unless you are dealing with smaller (and frankly, poorer) countries. And even then they can prove resilient, especially if you can’t get enough other countries on board.
I haven’t been to the eye doctor in over 5 years so that’s a fun one to randomly remember.
ADHD often comes with some degree of low-grade anxiety/depression tbh
I remember talking to my therapist about how I’m not worried about forgetting something, I’m always worried about what I haven’t realized I have forgotten and is already causing a problem. I just live in a constant state of “something is on fire I just haven’t smelled the smoke yet.” it’s not quite PTSD, but it is certainly something analogous and it’s always this low level hum of stress. At least that’s what I took from my conversation with her.
The nice thing is proton has been slowly making more and more of its codebases open source, and has consistently done the right thing despite whatever winds of change come their way. I have had proton unlimited for about a year now and I am so glad. It was a great way to remove Google from my life but it didn’t require a particularly high level of technical knowledge. It’s a little clunky at times, but honestly it works very well.
…what? I’m not sure you understand what I mean by compiling on my end. Why would that preclude my being able to communicate with other people?
Call me a Luddite, call me ignorant, the simple answer is we don’t need to solve the Byzantine generals problem for privacy because we are able to work indecently I.e. if it’s floss we can compile ourselves. I don’t need to trust anyone when I can vet the code and roll my own with it.
TL;DR: the Byzantine general problem isn’t a problem.
FLOSS software is not dependent on trusting an organization. That’s a significant part of the appeal.
What else?
What is the NFT component offering that I don’t get from the myriad of other excellent DNS services (many of which are FLOSS) that grant me reliable DNS over HTTPS/other privacy elements? What is the NFT part accomplishing that wasn’t being done prior?
Then please show us some valid usages currently up and running solving actual problems at scale.
I am prejudiced because I was in the crypto space for years. I used to mine and more. So my prejudice comes from a place of experience and knowledge, not random headlines and memes.
Ehhhhh you’re kind of ignoring in power/out of power dynamics here and the overwhelmingly conservative slant they’ve adopted the last few years.
