FYI the value size pizza is almost always the largest one they have.

Humans aren’t mostly rational. Lots of people aren’t rational at all.
It’s pretty obvious that people created every form of God we’ve conceived of, spoke of, or written about since the dawn of humanity.
The motivations are even clear. And God isn’t a semi-hairless primate. Why would he be? What of God’s infinite duties and abilities would be made easier or more possible by being similar to a semi-hairless primate, other than to be easily thought up by a semi-hairless primate?
Not the OP, but gain a little experience and then be willing to change areas (markets). I’ve found counterintuitively that working in high cost of living (col) markets with larger salaries is better than working in low col markets where nobody is willing to pay anything.
But my advice there might be stale as i bought a condo right before the 2020 price hikes. Being a new entry to a high priced market may no longer net the same amount of benefit. But you can run the numbers. For instance, if you move to a place where your rent doubles from 12k to 24k a year but your salary also doubles 55k to 110k, that’s losing 12k post tax to make 55k pre tax so it’s likely worth it.
But some markets have gotten very unaffordable, so the math may not always work. High col areas often find people unwilling or unable to move into them as well which lowers the competition a little.
I have other recommendations i could throw toward people looking to scrimp and save, but honestly none of them had as much effect on my financial life. Making more money by changing markets and job hopping made it so that i now am pretty financially stable in what’s considered a very unaffordable city.
The show Barry seemed to me to have excellent audio engineering.
For example, there was a scene where he’s driving by cars on a motorcycle that had their windows open and each song was like going by on the surround as he passed.
They were just drunk with promises from Washington to be able to get more booze.
Nio
Ugh, looks like they designed their door handles just like Tesla did. Are EVs in general adopting that design standard? Cuz thanks I hate it.
Its future iterations that are definitely not this?
Sure, I don’t know.
I’d wager we’ll probably reach climate collapse / political crises that throw us off course before a “Westworld-esque” thing is ever possible.
People don’t seem to realize that these tech leaders are all just weaponizing your imagination against you (a.k.a. using a sales technique). GPUs and LLMs aren’t skynet no matter how much people want to project that onto them.
Nvidia cares maybe even less about the outcome than I do, they’ll sell you all the pickaxe you want to buy in the AI gold rush.
haven’t had the potential to replace every job on earth, that’s the real difference for me.
This really doesn’t either tbh. But that’s certainly what they’re selling.
I think we passed the peak a few years ago. But yeah, peak from here on out.
There’s something in the contrast between the high percentages of the “best country in the world” people that generally populate the US vs the lived experience of being in America and noticing the myriad ways in which it is decidedly not the fucking best.
That contrast is a killer, and I think adds to the motivation people have to shit on it.
This round of technology reminds me of when Google was the shiniest thing on the block, and everyone was trying to cram a site specific search engine into their website.
This resulted in open source projects such as Lucene, which is incredibly useful, but is not in reality anything like Google. Over time interest in these projects faded and now they’re just another pretty optional component of a website (many sites just use SQL queries rather than a search engine).
I think chatbots are pretty similar. The premier versions of these things cost way too much to run to be practical for most sites, so they’ll play with the scaled down, easier versions for a time before abandoning the functionality entirely over time unless it’s found to be actually useful.

It means I’ve bumped into a bunch of people that are pro non-consential AI porn, many that are even pro AI csam.
The AI porn advocating brigade is large on lemmy in my experience.
🤷 and maybe someone was holding his dog hostage until he performed, but that pic doesn’t look like someone who is having a terrible time fulfilling his label obligations
I wonder when “selling out” or being called a “sell out” stopped being a thing. It happened during my lifetime for sure. Now basically everyone everywhere you look in the music business not only is one, but the public seems to not even consider it an option to not sell out, and I think most people dream of being able to be a sell out themselves so much they pardon others preemptively and almost instinctively.
But like in this case, Dave Grohl is already a multimillionaire, does he really have to further prostitute himself for Amazon cash?
Everyone here is taking a dump on foldables, but I bought a Motorola razr 2023 for myself as a kind of Christmas present and after having a phone that comfortably fits in my pocket for the first time in like 10 years there is no way I’m going back to phablets. Thanks, I love it.
Not like these people had any warning that they might be buying a shitty product designed and sold by a pathological liar /s:
