This is not a typical open source side project. The developers work full time on it, it’s basically their job. That 2000 Euros is their monthly gross salary. Average monthly salary in France is 2340 euros net as of 2022. The developers of Lemmy are earning well below average.
FLAC files use lossless compression, which means all the original data is preserved (which is why people like FLAC), which makes FLAC files smaller than an uncompressed .WAV audio file, but still larger than an MP3 file, which uses lossy compression. Lossy compression does involve the loss of some data. This is what allows MP3 files to be smaller than FLAC. With the existence of other more modern lossy audio file formats/codecs like .AAC, and .opus, MP3s should no longer be used unless it is required for compatibility reasons. The modern lossy formats offer higher quality audio files at lower file sizes than MP3.

Yes it is, I’m commenting on it right now. You can import all your app settings from the Reddit version of the app too, if you still have it installed, or you still have your config file lying around. It’s what I have done so I have a pitch black theme lol.

I’m using private DNS on mobile data right now. It’s system wide and not dependent on WiFi
I find using a DNS server that blocks ads gets rid of them. You just put the name of the server (like “dns.adguard.com”) in the private DNS field in settings and turn it on.
I find the setting on my phone in Settings > connections > more connection settings > private DNS

The same way you install revanced, you basically have to reinstall it with an updated APK and patches. At least that’s how I did it.
I use YouTube revanced, and after a quick update a few weeks ago it’s working fine again
The cover screen seems like an awkward form factor for typing though. There’s a reason Samsung and Motorola have the cover screen take up the full width of the phone, it allows the keyboard to be of a similar size as the one on the inside folding display. Motorola went even further by matching the pixel density of the cover and inner displays for a more consistent experience. Which makes sense when you can use all kinds of apps on the cover screen, which both Samsung and Motorola allow, and Oppo will allow with the Find 3.
On the other side of it, the aspect ratio of the cover display on the Oppo closely matches the aspect ratio of the inner display, whereas the Samsung and Motorola cover screens are more square.
Three cameras seems cool, but is it worth the sacrifice in cover screen size to the average user?
Probably because Oppo owns both Realme and OnePlus.
