I find excluding LGBTQ people from a group of people which can be genocided awfully strange. Well it really depends on what definition of genocide you use. If genocide for you is the systematic killing of a certain group then perhaps not. However I don’t find that definition that particularly useful bc it just points to the end result of these discriminatory laws. If you use the border definition “Genocide is an internationally recognized crime where acts are committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group.” It better highlights the complexity of genocide and how it comes to be.

I got that definition from here and it even has a list of specific actions that count as genocide.
