That’s huge information and explains the recent news. Thanks.
That’s huge information and explains the recent news. Thanks.
I’ve seen ADL referenced way too many times as a legitimate source of information. That’s gonna stick with me for a long while.
I mean, aren’t they just saying they have to promise bribes aren’t impacting their decisions while confirming they can definitely use official resources for unofficial reasons?
Seems like it’s just codifying the wrong things.
ABSOLUTELY! I do want to clarify that when I say that I question how severe it is, I don’t mean to minimalize it.
ADL has pretty consistently exaggerated numbers. So when I see 4000% increase, I don’t believe it. They absolutely include Israeli government criticisms.
But I do expect that there’s extreme increases, in the same way there has been increases in Islamophobia. Probably more. The incidents are real and cannot be ignored.
I just do not trust what the news is putting out when it relies on subjective information or an outside source. This has honestly been the sloppiest news I’ve witnessed in my life.
I’ve seen a lot of reporting on antisemitism increasing. And I’m sure it is. But shit like this and the fact that I’ve seen ADL referenced twice now makes me really question how severe it is.
So do I. Why? Because I can.
On the colonial state part. My interpretation of the statement was support for their right to exist, not the support for taking more Palestinian land or the method they used to do so by emigrating residents into their population.
But honestly either way, I think there are so many shit opinions, and so many biases from so many different sources, and so much misinformation, it’s justified to give people a bit of slack on the subject regardless. Kicking someone out of a support group for a post like that is cruel.
Before reading the article, their comment definitely made it sound like ADL was making these claims. Though I definitely understand criticizing the reference to ADL.
I don’t know why you think their values are fake. I would also panic if it was going to destroy my life. It ain’t worth it.
“Don’t underestimate his ability to play spoiler to one of them.”
I think we know which one he’d play spoiler to. Moderate Republicans know how to hold their nose because they’re supposed to. Democrats don’t have that strong of identity politics. It’s much easier for them to be convinced to not vote Dem.
This is especially true for the swing states that are going to determine who actually wins the presidency.
If Dems are oranges and Reps are literal shit. He’d be like a freshly picked mushroom.
It’s gonna taste like shit, it might kill you, but I guess you could say it’s closer to an orange than literal shit, debatably.
Not just anti-vaxx, but also antisemitic conspiracies.
Caring for the people? Sounds like woke radical leftist Marxist propaganda (actual shit I hear on a daily basis).
The Republican party could stop trying to hurt people at any moment. Hell, I’m in a red state and our last Republican governor wasn’t too bad. But it’s all just hate now. And anyone who opposes that hate gets more hate from people like you.
The argument that it’s impossible to be liable for putting others in danger if you’re defending yourself is just crazy.
If you can understand why it would apply to those exaggerated examples, you can understand why it COULD apply to this situation.
Now, you can argue that they DIDN’T put others in danger by discharging their firearm. But that’s a separate argument.
I know. I’m saying the GOP would actually defend his actions and say there’s nothing wrong with it, because that’s what they do.
I understand not wanting to hurt the American people. But Democrats aren’t going to just pretend it’s fine either.
They would absolutely be calling the whole thing a sham.
I understand not wanting to give up power by ousting them in purple areas, for both parties. People’s lives and the trajectory of the country is dependent on which party is in charge, unfortunately. Which is sad in itself.
They were asked to write their personal experience with him. And that’s what they did. I didn’t see anything defending his actions or condemning the charges.
I don’t even have to actively boycott. I just feel weird watching Scientologists leading movies and shows. I find it odd that people can get excited to go watch Tom Cruise in a movie.
The plane was taken outside of the environment.
Can you explain what you mean by this? I assume you mean people forced to stay home by the federal government.
