I made the transition to Linux Mint at the beginning of the year. I just booted into Windows the other day and saw that it had been six weeks since the last time.
I know I can lose weight by counting calories. I can count calories and lose weight eating three meals a day. I’m looking for a way to lose weight without counting calories. I was hoping OMAD would be the ticket.
Of course!
I need to do this.
The anime film was great. Why’d they need to live action that shit up?
I’ve tried Quest 2 once at a friend’s house. I thought it was pretty neat but nothing about the experience made me want to run out and buy one or even plan to buy one in the future. I believe that unless good VR headsets come down in price significantly (sub $100) they’re never going to be more than a niche hobby.
I’ve noticed that Japanese candy often has a ton of packaging. There’ll be a box of small mints and you open it to find each one individually wrapped.
You bring up a good point about the stability of Windows. I’ve been using Linux Mint for the past few months and am quite happy with it. However I’ve experienced at least four different times when the OS has become completely locked; I couldn’t do anything and had to hard reset. Not a deal breaker for me but it made me think about how that never happens to me in Windows any more.
I get you. I do something similar. I love physical discs and have a healthy blu ray collection. I tend to buy older or more obscure cult movies that I’m worried may not be readily available on streaming. But I avoid DVDs specifically because of the low resolution. For some movies it just can’t be helped. Very obscure content may even only be available on VHS transfers and I’ll watch those if I’m really interested in the movie or show.
I think my DVD days are mostly done. Even with a decent upscaler (Nvidia Shield) 480p looks terrible on my 4K TV.
I have a lot of 720p movies that I watch on my 4k TV. I’m always surprised at how good they look.
I’ve been an Android user since the beginning, started with the G1. But I’m starting to think about Apple. I have no other Apple products but I just don’t care about phone tech any more. I want a long lasting phone that launches apps, texts, and makes phone calls.
Which phone is it? My pixel 5a’s camera just gave out and I’m in the market.
If I was stupidly rich I’d pay the entire fine to nullify the punishment to Gary. It isn’t about the money to Nintendo; it’s about making an example of him.
That’s some bullshit. I hate that they can do that. They spin it as a convenience but I’d rather update all my accounts with the new card manually.
Oh (buy) Brother!
About 25 years ago I was visiting Alexandria Egypt. I had just eaten some packaged ice cream and was standing on an unpaved side street near a train station holding a sticky wrapper. Having already been in the country a few weeks I knew that I had no chance of finding a trash can. As I stared at the little mounds of trash around the street while plastic grocery bags swirled around my legs in the hot Mediterranean sun I had a realization - this was my opportunity to rebel against all my upbringing, the very core of my being. I flung the wrapper on the ground and walked away. No one batted an eye. Here in this ancient city that was named after a man lauded as "The Great " I too wept, seeing I had no more worlds to conquer.
I can get very close to 1 Gbit on Ethernet but top out at maybe 400 Mbps on wifi.
