So how do you suggest the journalists pay their rent exactly?
So how do you suggest the journalists pay their rent exactly?
Yeah I know, I just meant to state I can see where the initial doubt comes from. I already saw the study further up and the reasoning makes sense.
Though I think with dieting in particular general trends are very hard to apply to individuals (most obvious offender being BMI).
Yea i can absolutely see that. Though it’s also understandable to doubt it because personally it just doesn’t apply - which I think is largely because I don’t changr my portion sizes, and I’m probably not the only one. I make food and eat all of it, and I usually eat 2 meals a day + sometimes breakfast. I’ve found that delaying food intake for as long as possible leads to me eating less overall and losing weight.
In my case, eating breakfast or not is more of a result of how much I ate the previous day.
The second highest voted thing is mildly misleading because left parties are a lot more fractured, especially in EU elections. The afd could have 11% while 9 left wing partirs have 9.8% and be the most voted party, but that would be a better result than we have now with it being the second most voted.
The results are bad, but 16% is at least nowhere nesr a majority. I’m honestly more concerned about the CDU moving closer to the afd and still ending up with 30%, seems almost like many people don’t like the afd because they’ve been told afd bad, but still agree with much of their ideology.
I think germany could have gone worse, and people are quick to see that the AfD has the second most votes and cry disaster, but reality is that left wing votes are just split between more parties. Overall “cdu and further right” seems to bd about evenly split with “left of cdu”.
But still, compared to both the previous EU election and the most recent national election, it got quite a bit worse. CDU and AfD combined were at 36% in the last national election, they’re up by about 5% each, and that while the CDU has been getting closer to the AfDs position in recent years.
While what you said isn’t wrong, it’s not really the main issue. The energy a human body gets from food can be vastly different than what is produced by burning it, and there are further variations per person.
The calorie count on food to my knowledge is based on actual measurements with humans… from one guy doing experiments in the 1800s. And while it’s probably reasonably accurate on average, it’s not really possible to know how much energy a specific person will get from a food from a generalized calorie label. So even if the food itself had no variance, it would be impossible to label the energy intake you will get from it accurately.
It’s not, that guy constantly tweets this sort of joke. The shutterstock thing is just part of it.
This is literally just you being used to one system but not the other. 16 to 26 sounds like a massive difference to me because it is. And decimals exist.
Oh yea, I’d never question anyone having a hard time. In the context of the meme specifically it doesn’t make much sense to question things, now that I think about it. If only autistic people go “yea sounds about right” there’s a good chance you’re autistic anyway.
But I’ve seen it personally where ppl match some symptoms and become utterly convinced they must have a specific disorder, and it doesn’t make sense either. There’s no huge harm to it but esp an awareness of differential diagnosis seems to be lacking.
That’s not even remotely what they said lmao
It’s pretty clear that there tends to be a lack of differential diagnosis and inability to judge severity of symptoms when it comes to self-diagnosis. People see some matching symptoms and go “I must have this!” when it could be 20 other things.
Though i also dunno if needing treatment or special care is the best metric to use since it’s very possible to have ASD and just get by with masking (obv not in all cases).
When it’s only one parent as in the case that allegedly inspired this law, that becomes less of an issue and i’d see it entirely as a positive. When it’s both parents… as fucked as this sounds, it’d probably have to depend on the details whether taking the child to a foster home would help, but usually probably not. They’re already traumatized at that point and taking them away from both parents would likely just traumatize them further.
Note: am not a psychologist this is mostly conjecture from what ive picked up
All communist countries i know of went into authoritarianism along the way. There’s this weird idea that communism can be implemented through creating an authoritarian state that then abolishes itself, turns out the people in power generally don’t want to give it up, who would’ve thought.
Fwiw I disagree with a lot of assumptions in marxism and some of the conclusions and am overall more of a social capitalist but it’s pretty true that there hasn’t been a truly communist country yet. But I’m fairly sure the same could be said of true pure capitalism anyway.
Things have definitions. A scotsman is a scottish person, which is why no true scotsman is about claiming someone isn’t scottish for their behavior instead of simply their nationality (ignore further issues of self identity etc here).
Communism similarly has a definition and just because you claim to be one doesn’t mean you are one. Just like a country isn’t a democracy just because it calls itself democratic.
I’m from the country that spawned nazis lol, pretty sure if you’re going that route you’re the unqualified one for not being german.
Violence works great for keeping people out of political discourse (part of how the nsdap rose to power), it doesn’t work to have them consider changing their minds.
You’re also making an awful lot of assumptions about me, given that i went to demos against a far right party here before lmao
Btw, how the fuck would i know if ppl got violent against hateful shitheads in some other country and especially what the shitheads’ reaction was (even if it’s fairly obvious)
And my point is that allowing calls for violence potentially compromises safety of any marginalized group as it removea hurdles when the wrong people get into power, and punching nazis is just going to radicalize them more anyway, so that’s also not gonna help.
But, yknow, imagine thinking.
Way to miss the point entirely.
Oh well no point trying to talk to someone not even trying to think about things.
U got the white part correct, congrats.
And no, I just have principles. And well, the intelligence to realize that it’s not the greatest wau forward. Would still press a magic button that instantly kills all nazis, but that doesn’t exist.
Calling for violence against anyone should be illegal imo. But yes that includes things like telling people to punch nazis.
Otherwise if they actually do convince people you’re a groomer they’ll think it’s ok to punch you too. “Group x is an exception” or “subject matter y isn’t protected” is the problem, not disallowing certain rhethorics.
Achievements or multiplayer matching not being implemented in the game itself isn’t on GOG. They still allow you to download and launch any game you’ve bought, without even requiring galaxy.
Also lesser known is the fact that there are DRM-free games on steam. Download them once, you can play without having steam running or even installed. Using a client to download isn’t inherently DRM either.
